| Concerned with the prevailing attitude of complacency toward security in the private sector, Guardsmark recently commissioned a surveyconducted by Penn, Schoen & Berlandof security professionals and the public to determine general attitudes toward the current security environment. The results were disturbing: although 96% of those surveyed think the threat from terrorism today is serious, only 41% of the public said they felt their workplaces were very safe.
