Security officers can be assigned to a range of roles within Guardsmark’s wide array of security services, depending primarily on prior background and Guardsmark learning and development programs.
For these full-time and part-time hourly positions, we recruit outstanding individuals over the age of 21 who possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Certain supervisory roles are filled through the promotion of full-time Security Officers, or by employing applicants with appropriate experience.

This position is responsible for recruiting, screening, selecting and preparing security personnel for assignment in each office. Successful applicants must hold a degree from a four-year college or university. Demonstrated experience in human resources or organizational behavior is a plus.

This is a hands-on management position, which entails handling client relationships, working with security officers, and managing customer service at multiple sites.
Guardsmark recruits four-year college or university graduates for this role. Military or law enforcement experience and/or a CPP designation is a plus.

This role involves similar responsibilities to the Relationship Managers, but is dedicated to one client and therefore functions in a more concentrated effort.
Candidates are often promoted from Relationship Manager, recruited with military or law enforcement experience or a CPP accreditation in addition to a degree, or may be business school graduates with fewer years of work experience.

This position functions at the top tier of our local management structure. These managers assist Managers of Business Development in establishing new client relationships, as well as manage the branch infrastructure, Manager of Protection Services and Relationship Managers.
Candidates typically have had substantial prior experience in business. Depending on specific need, Guardsmark may seek applicants with senior-level federal or local law enforcement backgrounds or military experience.

This role is responsible for sales of Guardsmark security services. Based in local offices, these positions are located throughout the U.S. and in Canada and Puerto Rico.
The position requires a four-year college degree as well as sales experience, preferably in the services sector.
