Mr. Lipman has received notable mention in 68 books, including Ethics Matters, a publication of the Center for Business Ethics at Bentley College, and Eighty Exemplary Ethics Statements by Dr. Patrick E. Murphy, Professor and Chair of the Department of Marketing at the University of Notre Dame. Both books applaud Guardsmark’s Code of Ethics statement as outstanding.
He is also mentioned in Mary Alice Kellogg’s 1978 book, Fast Track, where he was described as one of ten "super achievers," and his biography is listed in various publications such as Who’s Who in America. In 1970, President Richard Nixon appointed Mr. Lipman as chairman of the National Alliance of Businessmen for his area.
His past accomplishments also include being cited in 1974 as one of the 20 "Best Corporate Chief Executives of Achievement" by the Gallagher President’s Report for "his combination of aggressive salesmanship and imaginative management."
